Personal Training Services

  • All personal training is scheduled by appointment which includes day, evening and weekend appointments.
  • All sessions are 55-minutes in length.
  • Options for training sessions include: General Personal Training, Sports Conditioning, Strength Training, Aquatic Training, and Weight Loss Consultations. Each program is tailored to your individual needs and goals.
  • Fitness assessment and target heart rate calculation.
  • Health screening and body composition analysis.
  • Wellness Coaching

Personal Training Services Rates

The Summit Personal Training staff offer a variety of training packages to assist you in achieving your fitness and wellness goals. Most individuals and groups see the best results, when they purchase multiple sessions, as each session provides you added tools to successfully achieve the goals set up during your first meeting. Once registered, you will have up to six months to complete the sessions in your package; all sessions are non-refundable and non-transferable. Personal Trainer Nights 

As a part of the Summit on the Park membership, members can meet with a personal trainer to get a free 15-minute training session. Where this is an opportunity to ask questions and get work-out tips from a professional. Please call 734/394-5467 for more information.


Tom Arbaugh

Meet Our Trainers

Tom has been a certified personal trainer and strength and conditioning specialist for the past 18 years after receiving his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Alma College. He specializes in many fitness areas, such as: strength and conditioning, sport-specific training, weight loss/weight management, senior strength and balance, and youth fitness. Tom loves building working relationships with his clients as they work toward their fitness goals. He also enjoys challenging people and helping them realize they are capable to do more than they thought they could ever do.


Julie Burt

Julie has been teaching and instructing fitness for the past 20 years here at Summit on the Park. She works to create a unique training experience for each client based on their individual fitness goals that will motivate, empower and challenge them for an enjoyable and rewarding experience. Julie’s certifications are: National Exercise Trainers Association Certified Personal Trainer & Group Fitness Instructor, Institute for Integrative Nutrition Certified Health Coach, Arthritis Foundation Land and Aquatic Instructor and Tai Chi Instructor for Arthritis and Health. With Wellness Coaching or Personal Training, Julie’s goal is to help you develop into a healthier you.


Dana hater

Dana has been in the fitness/wellness industry for 18 years. She received her B.S. in Exercise Physiology in 2002 and received her M.S. in Health Promotion/Kinesiology at Purdue University in 2007, where she held an assistantship within the Campus Recreation Department. She had the privilege of joining the Summit on the Park team in 2010, where she continues to teach and train. Dana also holds Personal Fitness Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor certifications. In addition she has specialty training in yoga and older adult instruction. Dana’s areas of training include: functional training, balance training, strength training, core training, cardiovascular conditioning, and injury prevention.


Deb mudge

Deb is a fun loving Canton resident with a passion for fitness.  In her role as a Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor, she enjoys pushing clients to be there best. She is here to coach, educate, motivate and assist clients with achieving their fitness goals by developing a fitness schedule specific to each individual’s needs and abilities. She has been a certified personal trainer since 2014 and holds specialties in Cycling, Kettlebell AMPD, Piloxing, Pilates, and TRX!
